Our Background

The ICA-SD opened from a grass-roots idea that began in the mind of our Director, Lois Chipman-Sullivan in 1983, but didn't grow to fruition until 2022. Her dream was to have a place where professionals in the fields of law, case management, mental health, forensic child evaluators, and medical fields can volunteer their time and efforts to assist in assisting families and children who are managing the stressors from the process of suspected and/or confirmed abuse.
